A SPECTACULARLY bitter war of words erupted last night between Paul Braithwaite, who is trying against the will of Standard Life directors to sit on their board, and David Stonebanks, who is hell- bent on stopping him.
It is ironic that retired college lecturer Stonebanks is now trying to help Standard Life block Equitable Life activist Braithwaite. This is a dramatic reversal of the relationship in 2003 and early 2004 between Standard Life and Stonebanks, who was then trying to force the life and pensions giant to demutualise against its will and attracting the institution's wrath.See the full content of this document
