Mike Ritchie is correct in saying that "oppositionism" is not in the Oxford English Dictionary, but he should maybe have finished that espresso and followed it with another before clicking "send".

Oppositionist is in the dictionary. It describes somebody hell- bent on adopting an opposing stance regardless of the substance or veracity of an argument.
