IT IS extremely sad to see so little publicity being given to the defence debates that took place in the House of Lords (on January 17) and in the House of Commons (January 20). Yet again, government ministers came under severe criticism and intense pressure to rectify their appalling error of judgment in seeking to make cuts in the infantry battalions of the Army.
