THE UK's terrorism legislation was placed under further scrutiny after appeal judges overturned the conviction of a man who was branded a "wannabe suicide bomber" by prosecutors.

Three senior judges at the Court of Criminal Appeal in Edinburgh said that Mohammed Atif Siddique, from Alva, Clackmannanshire, suffered a "miscarriage of justice" because some of the directions given to the jury by the trial judge amounted to a "material misdirection".
