Summary

THE Arches Theatre Festival has thrown up few more accomplished works than Rebecca Sharp's Danger: Hollow Sidewalk, a deceptively talky interchange between two women who meet in an airport departure lounge. Both on a mission, power-dressing Livia is always one step behind her runaway brother who she imagines making flags for yet to be discovered countries. Backpacker Ollie is chasing after the woman whose name she was given after her mother swapped smalltalk with her on a plane. She, too, makes quantum leaps into possible, possibly parallel worlds.

As the pair orbit around each other, they become synchronised polarities going in opposite directions, who might just end up in the same place. Only then might they discover there's something else besides one more experiment to fill the void.
