Forth Ports yesterday became the latest Scottish quoted company to surrender its independence as it accepted the 1630p-a- share offer tabled earlier this month by its 23% shareholder Arcus European Infrastructure Fund.

Arcus said it was "committed to maintaining Forth Ports' position as a key UK port operator headquartered in Scotland."
