ALL of Scotland's professional orchestras may need to change the contracts of their musicians to make classical music provision "more flexible" in the future, the former head of Scotland's arts funding body said last night.

Yesterday, The Herald revealed that Scottish Opera plans to halve the working hours and salaries of its orchestra members in a controversial plan to cut costs.
