Several of Scotland's Commonwealth Games team are among those chasing titles at the inaugural Scottish Closed Senior Championships at Edinburgh's Meadowbank today and tomorrow, writes Doug Gillon. With many finals being merged recently because of lack of entries, the seniors have been given national championship status, but the traditional district event has been retained for younger age groups.
Hayley Ovens, the Melbourne 1500m finalist, drops down to 400m and faces one of the toughest fields of the weekend.
