ROWAN Atkinson joined an all-party group of peers yesterday to protest about the controversial Racial and Religious Hatred Bill, which they fearwill endanger freedom of speech.

The comedian, backed by Lord Carey of Clifton, the former archbishop of Canterbury, Conservative Lord Hunt of Wirral, and Liberal Democrat Lord Lester of Herne Hill, attended a news conference in the Lords.
