PRIME Minister Gordon Brown said yesterday that troops involved in fierce battles in Afghanistan were doing everything possible to prevent innocent casualties during a major Nato offensive.
Mr Brown said he spoke to President Hamid Karzai in an attempt to reassure him following the deaths of 12 Afghans on Sunday, when two Nato rockets fell short of their Taliban target and landed on a house during Operation Moshtarak.See the full content of this document
