THE Institute of Auctioneers & Appraisers in Scotland yesterday released statistics which show that the live auction system is flourishing, despite some critics who forecast its demise.
The 20 companies which are corporate members of the IAAS, and which operate 13 weekly markets and 14 seasonal centres, sold almost 3.7 million head of livestock during 2003. This compares with 3.57 million in the previous year.See the full content of this document
