SIXTY Australian pipers heading to Scotland for the World Pipe Band Championships were stranded in London last night after bad weather forced the cancellation of their connecting flights to Glasgow with British Airways.

Pipe major Athol Chalmers expressed anger and disappointment at the way members of the Canberra Burns Club Pipe Band had been treated by Britain's biggest airline.
