I-DESIGN, the Scottish firm that pioneered the use of cash machines for advertising, warned that the banking crisis would weigh on earnings in the near term after announcing first-half results that bore the scars of the sector's problems.

AIM-listed i-design reported that pre-tax losses increased to GBP368,000 in the six months to March, from GBP291,000 last time, as growth in the revenues generated from the automated teller machines that feature the firm's technology lagged cost increases.
