THREE-TIME loser Julian Barnes has been given another chance to win the Man Booker Prize after he was named on a longlist of 13 contenders for the prestigious literary award.

The novelist, who lost out in 1984, 1998 and 2005, is nominated for his book The Sense Of An Ending.
