A SUPER-strength beer has been banned from sale in the UK after a drinks industry watchdog ruled its marketing promoted excessive drinking.

The 18.2per cent Tokyo* beer sparked a row when it was launched this summer, with health campaigners condemning the brewery behind it as "irresponsible".
