TRADE on the first day of the annual February AberdeenAngus bull sales in Perth was selective. That came as no great surprise, given that entries were at the highest level for 28 years.

The average dipped by pounds-530 to a still healthy pounds-3647 for 158 sold. Last year 147 head changed hands for an average pounds- 4177.
