Summary
COMIC'S CELEBRATION: Billy Connolly yesterday congratulated Celtic and its fans for their efforts to eliminate bigotry as he presented Neil Lennon, the team captain, with the Bank of Scotland Premierleague trophy.
After a week in which Uefa, football's European governing body, claimed bigotry is a peculiarly Scottish problem, the comedian addressed the crowd of 60,000 jubilant fellow fans at Celtic Park, saying: "All this stuff about sectarianism and all that . . . no- one has taken the time to congratulate you on the progress made here in the past five years. It's brilliant. Well done."See the full content of this document
