Summary
Sweet sixteen
HARRY Christophers's virtuoso and peerless choral group, The Sixteen, with their last Choral Pilgrimage laid to rest after a hugely successful national tour, are about to embark on another 10- concert tour of historic buildings throughout the UK. There is a single Scottish date on the tour, and it is the opening night on February 6, when The Sixteen appear at St Giles' Cathedral in Edinburgh at 7.30pm. The tour then ranges from St Alban's to Cambridge and Oxford, with cathedral appearances also in Norwich, Winchester, Bristol, Gloucester and York. The programme this year focuses on music whose origins lie either in Portugal or Italy, with Domenico Scarlatti's Stabat Mater as its climax and tour de force.See the full content of this document
