TOUCH Bionics, the Scottish pioneer that makes bionic hands used by soldiers wounded in the war in Iraq, yesterday opened its new centre of excellence in West Lothian, and said it hopes to open similar centres at various locations around the world over the next few years, writes Mark Smith.
In a ceremony conducted by Jim Murphy, Secretary of State for Scotland, the company's new Livingston headquarters now offers full clinical services to upper limb amputees, recommendations and insurance reimbursement support, as well as occupational therapy and the chance to participate in Touch Bionics' ongoing research and development projects.See the full content of this document
