SAFETY syringe developer NMT has confirmed the closure of its Livingston, West Lothian, manufacturing facility and released further details of an accompanying management restructuring that will leave the drastically slimmed-down business with a board of directors comprising just two non-executives.

Roy Smith, chief executive, and Gerard Cassels, group finance director, will leave the business within the next three to six months. Two non-executive directors, chairman Roger Gilmour and Lady Balfour of Burleigh, have resigned with immediate effect.
