NEW Marks & Spencer chief executive Marc Bolland will have ruffled a few feathers with his strategic review which includes scaling back the number of external brands stocked in its food stores.

Bringing in outside products, such as Coca-Cola and Marmite was a key innovation of Bolland's predecessor Sir Stuart Rose, who will end his near seven-year stint at the company when he retires as chairman in January.
