THOMAS BUFFEL is a major injury doubt for Rangers ahead of Saturday's Old Firm match after withdrawing from the Belgium squad last night.

The Ibrox playmaker was absent from the 3-2 league defeat against Aberdeen at Pittodrie last Sunday with a thigh injury but reported for duty with his national side ahead of their friendly with Greece tonight. Buffel's fitness, though, has not improved and he flew back to Glasgow yesterday afternoon for treatment.
