It is a bit much to say that a routine victory over third division opposition in any way eases the pressure on Colin Calderwood, but at least nothing resulted against Berwick Rangers last night to increase the pressure on him, writes Simon Buckland.

His team have been jeered off the pitch recently and defeat would simply not have been tolerated. Happily for Calderwood, that never really looked in danger of happening. There was, though, an early warning when Fraser McLaren was put clear through on goal by Lee Currie inside two minutes, but he snatched at the shooting chance.
