THE Camanachd Cup, Scotland's premier shinty trophy, leaves Scotland today for the first time in its 110-year history.

It will stand in Central Station in New York as part of the Tartan Week exhibition. The cup has never gone overseas, apart from when Skye Camanachd won in 1990 before the island's bridge was built.
