Summary
Christopher Reeve was handsome, athletic, intelligent, and possessed of a classic, old-fashioned decency that made him perfect as Superman. It seems obvious casting now, but when he got the part in the 1978 blockbuster, the closest Reeve had come to fame was a recurring role in an American daytime soap opera.
