NICK Clegg has revised his strategy for a hung parliament, making clear that he would work with Labour if it dropped to third place in terms of share of the vote but on one key condition - Gordon Brown leaves No 10.

During a visit to Edinburgh, the Liberal Democrat leader insisted it would be "inexplicable" for Mr Brown to stay on as Prime Minister if Labour won fewer votes than the Conservatives and LibDems even if it retained most seats.
