JOHN McBETH, the president of the Scottish Football Association, has warned clubs they risk playing behind closed doors unless they can control escalating crowd trouble.

McBeth spoke out after Fernando Ricksen became a missile target for the second time this season when he was struck by a coin while preparing to take a corner during Rangers' 3-1 victory against Aberdeen at Pittodrie. The Dutchman expressed his frustration at regulations which prevent players from celebrating a goal yet inadequately deal with the growing problem of misbehaviour among supporters.
