MATTHEW Algie, the Glasgow-based coffee importer and roaster, yesterday revealed plans to more than double its sales to (pounds) 40m in five years - but reported flat profits and turnover for its financial year to the end of December.
The 140-year-old company, which has its headquarters in the Gorbals and supplies coffee to the House of Commons and the Scottish Parliament, reported pre-tax profits of (pounds) 2.1m on a turnover of (pounds) 17m during 2003, slightly down on the previous year's turnover of (pounds) 17.2m.See the full content of this document
