THOUSANDS of rail passengers faced disruption yesterday and will do so again today after an empty train was derailed in Central Scotland.

ScotRail said no-one was injured in the incident at Dunblane, which happened about 2pm, but the track was damaged in both directions forcing its closure and the disruption of services between Glasgow/Edinburgh and Dunblane, Perth, Dundee, Aberdeen, and Inverness.
