Not once but twice in the space of several days The Herald has seen fit to publish articles which suggested racial prejudice with respect to the Gaelic community.

Alison Rowat ("Memoir is a sorry state of affairs" , The Herald, May 29) made teuchter nonsense of the title of one of BBC Alba's programmes, while two days later Bruce Morton ("Let's give up rivalry and cheer on England", The Herald, May 31) referred to the Gaels as being "water-fearing clowns" in his column.
