CLYDE Property, Scotland's largest independent estate agent, has thrown down the gauntlet to solicitors' firms by starting to offer conveyancing services for property buyers and sellers.

The move enables the fastexpanding company to compete on a level playing field with solicitor-estate agents by offering a "one-stop shop" service for property purchasing, opening up the market to greater competition. The conveyancing service is also available when a property is not being purchased through Clyde Property.
