Scots university students were yesterday warned to "fit in and behave" after figures revealed crimes during Freshers Week in Aberdeen had doubled this year.

Most revellers were charged with breach of the peace but others faced charges of serious assault and sex with a girl under 16. Another student was arrested for reckless conduct with a firearm in a city where more than 10% of the population are students.
