The Scotland rugby squad is to return to the ice chambers of Spala this summer in a bid to get them up to the power, speed and fitness levels of the leading nations.

Their trip to the Polish fitness camp, where it is claimed that the cryogenic facilities let players squeeze weeks of training into days by speeding up the recovery process, will do nothing to reduce criticism of the apparent imbalance between cuts in all other departments and the free-spending of the national team management.
