NO Scot has won a medal in sprint hurdles at any Commonwealth Games, but Allan Scott, from East Kilbride, believes the appliance of science can change that.

Scott is currently joint fifth in the Commonwealth over 110 metres hurdles, at 13.62 seconds, and AAA champion indoors and out. The fastest bronze-medal time in his event at any previous Commonwealths is 13.53. Scott thinks that something below 13.40 or 13.30 is within his immediate grasp. "If I can do that on the day, then I am well capable of a medal, " he said.
