Summary
IN my contribution to the health debate in the Scottish Parliament on Monday, I raised the concern of hospital patients fearful of contracting MRSA. In our view the outsourcing of hospital cleaning and more importantly the unacceptable striving of health boards to maximise bed usage to 98-per cent occupancy (the highest in Europe) could be a contributing factor.
