DOGME95 is a decade old. Initially conceived by Lars Von Trier, who launched it along with his fellow Danish directors Thomas Vinterberg, Kristian Levring and Soren Kragh-Jacobsen, the 10-point film-maker's "vow of chastity" - which specifies basic, unshowy production techniques and character-centred stories - has now guided the production of 35 films.

Dogme films have been made in Italy, Chile, America, Spain, Belgium, Norway, Switzerland, Sweden, Argentina, Korea and France, as well as the movement's native Denmark. Not all of these have been released in this country; but the 34th, Annette K Olesen's In Your Hands, will come out here at the end of this month.
