DESIGNS for the new Forth Road Bridge have been revised after community protests that the approach roads would have a devastating impact on them.

Transport Scotland, the government agency carrying forward the GBP2.3bn scheme, said it had responded to the concerns of residents in South Queensferry over the visual impact and noise pollution that the new bridge would bring.
