MORE than half a million Scots have a condition that increases their chances of developing diabetes.

A new report from Diabetes UK estimates that 620,000 people - or 15per cent of Scottish adults - have "prediabetes", which makes them up to 15 times more likely to develop Type 2 diabetes.
