DIAGEO chief executive Paul Walsh has pledged that he will meet the workers when he visits threatened plants in Kilmarnock and Port Dundas today.

While union leaders and SNP MSPs were raising concerns that Mr Walsh was trying to sidestep meeting the Johnnie Walker workforce, Diageo said last night he intends to visit bottling halls which will have him in contact with up to 400 day-shift workers.
