Summary

Drama In Denial of Murder Saturday, BBC1, 9pm There's really something about Stephen Tompkinson's face. I don't know what it is - it's just a kind of frown he does that makes me want to laugh. He used it all the time in Drop the Dead Donkey, and he uses it again here, which can make it hard to take his seriousness seriously.

The drama comes from the true story of Stephen Downing, convicted of a murder in the calm Peak District town of Bakewell. Tompkinson is the local newspaper editor Don Hale who, after meeting Downing's parents, takes up the case and fights for what he sees as justice.
