AMOTORIST who crashed into a young boy when almost three times the drink-drive limit was spared a prison sentence yesterday.
Police found an empty Buckfast bottle in Michael Feeley's car after he lost control of the vehicle, which then mounted a footpath and struck a five-yearold boy, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, When Feeley appeared at Paisley Sheriff Court for sentence, Sheriff George Kavanagh told him he had ruled out prison.
