DUNDEE could be a totally smoke-free zone by Christmas, under proposals that took an important step forward yesterday.

NHS Tayside is hoping that, with the support of its local authority partners, Tayside will be the first region in the UK to have totally smoke-free zones. Due to the high level of smoking in Dundee it suggests that the city is the ideal starting point.
