CHARLIE Bean, chief economist at the Bank of England, last night warned of the possibility of further "substantial" falls in the dollar's value relative to the pound.
In a speech in Colchester which appeared to veer to the dovish side, Bean also highlighted the recent cooling of the UK housing market and asked if there was "a danger of a sharper slowdown in spending growth" than that which the Bank is projecting.See the full content of this document
