Summary
WE have deliberately refrained from participation in the voluminous correspondence regarding the state of affairs at Scottish Opera, but the letter from James Paterson (June 19) is one with which we fully agree, and which has finally made us militant.
My wife and I travel extensively to enjoy opera throughout Europe. We can state that, even prior to the Ring Cycle, many opera administrators, artists and others in the world of opera were openly discussing and criticising the wisdom of mounting such an expensive production by an already under-funded opera company.See the full content of this document
