THE construction industry professional hired to get Holyrood back on track told the Fraser inquiry yesterday that within months the whole project was so out of control that he walked away from it.

Alan Ezzi was a 30-year veteran of the industry and a member of the Chartered Institute of Builders and the Association of Project Managers who was overseeing the construction of the (pounds) 180m Edinburgh Royal Infirmary when he took on the job of running the Holyrood project.
