THE Bluefaced Leicester Sheep Breeder's Association annual meeting, to be held in Carlisle tonight, looks set to be a stormy affair if a contingent of leading Scottish breeders carry out their threat to head south and "read the riot act".

Scottish members have been unhappy for years at the way their members would manage to get support for their ideas at the main council meetings held in the north of England, only to have them overturned by other committees at a later stage. Many Scots believe that the association's trustees are effectively pulling the strings behind the scenes.
