RELATIVES of the victims of one of the UK's worst sea disasters are to launch a campaign for a permanent memorial in Scotland, they revealed yesterday.
The Clyde-built Lancastria was carrying about 9000 troops when it was sunk by German bombers off the coast of France, during a mass evacuation in 1940. About 4000 died.See the full content of this document
