KWIK FIT founder Sir Tom Farmer said the government could make a big impact on the scourge of mounting unemployment among young people by reintroducing the Youth Training Scheme that was pioneered by the Conservative Government under Lady Thatcher.
Following calls by industrialists for the government to pay companies to maintain jobs in order to stem the flow of redundancies across the UK, the Scottish entrepreneur said ministers could use subsidies to secure a big reduction in the number of young people on the dole.See the full content of this document
