The original Triumph Bonneville was the most famous Triumph of all. Released as a sporty pushrod-operated 650cc parallel twin in 1959, the T120 was a development of the Tiger 110, fitted with twin Amal carbs. Its name came from the Bonneville salt flats in Utah, where a streamlined Triumph ridden by Johnny Allen reached 214mph in 1956.
