FOLLOWING my exchanges with the first minister on Thursday in the Scottish Parliament and your response to his rubbishing of The Herald on Friday I should like to make the following points.

As The Herald made clear on Friday, the information provided to the first minister by the Scottish Children's Reporter Administration is deeply flawed. Indeed, the suppression of its annual report for six months clearly demonstrates that either the SCRA or the Scottish Executive or both cannot get their act together on the vital question of the level of youth crime in Scotland.
